This Conference of the CFMEU acknowledges the serious erosion of workers' civil liberties and human rights during the life of the Howard Government - some which will continue under the Labor government. Building workers continue to be singled out for special treatment, where they no longer enjoy equal rights under the law. The ABCC continues to use excess powers, provided to it by the previous Howard Government.
