The Lowes were asking ceiling for help to fix the ceiling.
Branch Secretary, Kevin Reynolds went to have a look and Manna got an entire refurbishment of the building including supply of all materials and equipment, and the work of painters, ceiling fixers, electricians, tilers and plumbers.
In no time at all, about $120,000 worth of work had been completed to bring the soup kitchen up to scratch. The CFMEU kicked in a further $40,000, to get the place up and running.
The CFMEU continues to support Manna and hundreds of people have decent meals every week, thanks to the dedication of the Lowes and their volunteers.
