Policies

The CFMEU has long and proud history of policy development on behalf of its members, workers in general and the broader community.

Formal policy is determined in the CFMEU at three levels. These are the National level, the Divisional level and the Divisional Branch level. The National Conference, Divisional Conferences and Divisional Branch Conferences usually occur on a bi-ennial basis and are the highest policy-making bodies in the organisation.

The binding public policy of the National Union can be found under the subject headings below.

From time to time the CFMEU as an organisation or through its constituent parts develops special policies dealing with current issues, some of which are also detailed below.

If you want to discuss any of our policies, then you can contact us via email at enquiries@fed.cfmeu.asn.au.
